It was based on the anti-submarine and transport versions supplied to the English and Italian navies. The Cormorant has sophisticated electronics based on a high performance radar and all-weather, night vision systems which combined with the craft’s very generous range and ample load capacity make it ideal for sea patrolling even in the severe operating conditions of the Canadian seas. The Testor model is a pre-painted die-cast replica of one of the Canadian SAR (Search And Rescue) units.
